With his recent CV I would not have expected to have seen Gerard Butler’s latest film to be this low budget mystery. Three lighthouse men on a remote Scottish Island discover a chest of gold. Not knowing where it has come from or who it belongs to, tensions and paranoia rise.

This is a film that sounds better on paper than in practice. An intriguing premise and a good cast, that also includes the great Peter Mullen, are wasted. The script is lumpen, lacking insight, and the film plods along to its dull but overwrought conclusion.
