In modern day India, an old man, Daya (Lalit Behl) decides that it is his time to die and takes a trip to the holy city of Varanasi to stay in The Hotel Salvation which is run for people in his situation. He is accompanied by his reluctant son Rajiv (Adil Hussain).
This is a well made film, with a fair script, well acted and nicely shot. However, I found it a hard film to sit through, not because the uncomfortable nature of the story but because I couldn’t find any emotional connection with the characters It is not always necessary to like the main protagonists in a movie but it is vital for a film like this Without that; the film was a little boring with none of the dramatic, and potentially devastating, moments making an impact.
