The parody film is in a pretty moribund state since the heady days of the Airplane and Naked Gun movies. The last decent effort was Scary Movie in 2000, which hit its targets pretty effectively despite basically being a spoof of a spoof (Scream). One of the writers of Scary Movie was Marlon Wayans who has since been responsible for a series of increasingly unfunny movies. His latest effort could well be his worst yet.
A ham-fisted spoof of Fifty Shades of Grey that features two terrible performances from Wayans himself as Christian Black and Jenny Zigrino as the truly annoying unfunny fat sex mad friend, presumably a take off of the characters Rebel Wilson plays. Kali Hawk as the object of Christian’s desire comes out reasonably unscathed and some good performers such as Fred Willard and Florence Henderson are wasted in small roles.
Crude, laugh-free, badly directed by Michael Tiddes and edited by a butcher, this is not as funny as Fifty Shades of Grey. That was bad and unintentionally funny: this is just bad.
