Jennifer Lawrence stars as an aimless 32 year-old Maddie. She is on the brink of losing her home, when she finds an intriguing job listing from wealthy parents looking for someone to bring Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman), their introverted 19-year-old son out of his shell before college. When she meets them, they make it clear that means ensuring he loses his virginity.
That is a pretty icky scenario, and one that would never have been made with the sexes reversed! However, if you can get past that, you should find yourself laughing a number of times, even if a few of the best gags are given away in the trailer.
Even more surprising is the sweetness at the centre of the story, with really winning performances from Lawrence and Feldman. There is a lag when, inevitably, Percy finds out what the plan is and he does change his personality a little too quickly. But things are wrapped up nicely in this surprisingly delightful film.
