Geeky Ah-Hau (Ka-ki Sham) unexpectedly finds himself the object of affection of five women during the course of one year. Otherwise, the only thing the women have in common is that they all live in remote corners of Hong Kong, so Hau has to keep travelling long distances, often on public transport, to meet them.

If you can get over the conceit of the women who are range from attractive to stunning all being fascinated with the nice but often infuriatingly hesitant Hau, you will almost certainly be charmed by Far Far Away. I initially thought that, with Hau being an App Developer (a profession already way overused in movies) and the resulting quirky on screen graphics, this could be an irritating watch. However, that usage soon calms down and it is fun to watch Hau interact with the very different women and the lengthy treks he makes are often pretty funny.

By the time he inevitably ends up with the right choice of the gregarious Melanie, played by the brilliant Jennifer Yu, I was thoroughly won over.
